Question about the license and commercial-use scope of the MiniMax H3 W4A8 weights
Hello Kijai, and thank you for publishing the MiniMax H3 experimental weights.
I am an individual creator in Japan. I am evaluating the W4A8 MiniMax H3 weights in this repository for private, local use with ComfyUI, particularly:
"minimax_h3_fl2va_pruned_w4a8_mixed.safetensors"
and/or
"minimax_h3_ref2va_pruned_w4a8_mixed.safetensors"
If testing is successful, I may use the setup to create original video works that will be published on YouTube, including monetized channels.
I do not intend to redistribute, sell, or upload the W4A8 weights themselves.
Could you please clarify the intended license scope of these W4A8 weights?
Specifically, is local use of these weights to generate original videos for publication on a monetized YouTube channel intended to be permitted, subject to the applicable MiniMax H3 license terms?
If possible, I would also appreciate clarification on:
- Which exact source checkpoint(s) were used to create these W4A8 weights.
- Whether these files are intended to remain subject to the MiniMax H3 Community License Agreement, or whether any additional license or conditions apply to the W4A8 conversion.
- Whether there are any attribution, NOTICE, or other requirements that you intend users of these W4A8 files to follow for this type of use.
I am not asking for legal advice. I only want to confirm the provenance and your intent as the creator/distributor of these converted weights before using them in a commercial video-production workflow.
Thank you very much.
The license remains the exact same as the original MiniMax H3 Community License Agreement.
